I ordered it because the wood color matched with my office desk. While it was not an exact match, it was as close at it could be. The time and temp. information is bright, unique and quite impressive being displayed out of the wood casing itself. I am also glad they designed it with a power cord option, if you'd rather do so, instead of using batteries.
